Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left feeling uncomfortable after a heartbreaking moment during the live semi-finals, as a little girl was left crying on stage. The episode, which aired on Tuesday (28 May), left many fans upset after the results led to an emotional scene.
The semi-final saw magician Jack Rhodes, Japanese double-dutch group Haribow, and choir Ravi’s Dream Team all make it into the top three, but only two acts could advance to Sunday’s Grand Final.
After Rhodes was put through with the highest public vote, the judges had to decide between the remaining two groups. In a dramatic turn, the decision went to a deadlock after Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden voted to save Ravi’s Dream Team, while Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell chose Haribow.
Ultimately, the audience vote determined the fate of the groups, with Haribow – who had received a Golden Buzzer during their audition – emerging as the winners.

The dancers from Haribow were obviously ecstatic with the news, but the same couldn’t be said for the members of Ravi’s Dream Team, who were left feeling deflated.
Viewers’ attention was drawn to a young member of the choir, whose impressive vocal talent stood out. The little girl, who appeared to be Ravi Adelekan’s younger sister, Maya, was left in tears after their defeat.
Ravi, from Brighton, has captured the hearts of the British public with his incredible voice. His inspiring choir, made up of family, friends, teachers, medical professionals, and other children affected by brain tumours, has touched many, adding an emotional layer to their journey.
Five-year-old Maya became emotional after the results were announced (ITV).
Ravi had intended to donate the full £250,000 prize to charity if his choir won Britain’s Got Talent.
As the news sank in, his dad gently picked up little Maya, who was upset about missing out on a spot in the finals, before taking her offstage. However, viewers had already witnessed the heartbreaking moment.
Many people took to social media, criticizing Britain’s Got Talent for focusing the cameras on Maya as she became emotional, expressing their displeasure with how the situation was handled.
