The 13-year-old touched hearts with his story of how performing magic helped him overcome the social challenges associated with his autism.
The teenage magician from Britain’s Got Talent won the hearts of both the judges and viewers as he tearfully reflected on his journey after delivering an impressive magic performance.
Cillian O’Connor, 13, touched everyone with his emotional story of how performing magic helped him overcome the social challenges of autism, leaving head judge Simon Cowell stunned with his mind-reading tricks.
Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and many in the audience were moved to tears by his inspiring audition during the opening episode of the latest Britain’s Got Talent series.
When Cillian O’Connor learned he had made it to the next round, he was overcome with emotion, bursting into tears and being comforted on stage by his mother.
The teenager from County Meath, Ireland, developed a love for magic after witnessing his first trick at the age of eight.
While impressing the judges with his illusions, including new judge Bruno Tonioli, he shared: “I’ve learned that having autism isn’t a disability, it’s an ability. When I was younger, I struggled to interact with people and felt invisible.
“Discovering magic changed my life, as it gave me a way to connect with others.”

Many viewers were surprised the judges hadn’t pressed the Golden Buzzer for Cillian O’Connor earlier in the show.
However, later in the episode, new judge Tonioli pressed the Golden Buzzer during the performance of dance group Ghetto Kids, showering them with confetti while they were still dancing.
The children continued their performance, impressing both the audience and the other judges with their energy and confidence.
