The Kent-born star won the hearts of the audience with her unique rendition of Over the Rainbow. After the final public vote, Sydnie Christmas was declared the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2024. As her name was announced, confetti rained down on the stage, marking the moment of victory.
Sydnie takes home a £250,000 prize and a coveted spot at the Royal Variety Performance later this year. While the judges shared their thoughts on the performances, the final decision was left to the voting public.
When Declan Donnelly asked how she felt about the win, Sydnie was overwhelmed, holding her head in her hands as she struggled to find the words. “Oh, I don’t know what to say!” she finally exclaimed. “I cannot believe the amount of love that I’ve felt since it aired… Oh my God, I am overwhelmed with love and it’s the most amazing thing.”
“It’s amazing, thank you so much!” Sydnie exclaimed in her moment of triumph.
Comedian Jack Rhodes took second place, while dancers Abigail and Afronitaaa secured third.
Sydnie clinched the win after an intense battle among the top 10 finalists of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent. The finalists included two magicians, a comedian, two performance troupes, a dance duo, a singer/impersonator, and a choir.
