Michael J. Fox, a dedicated advocate for Parkinson’s disease for the past three decades, recently provided a heartfelt update on his health. Despite the ongoing challenges, Fox remains steadfast in his commitment to combat the condition.
In a recent interview, he candidly acknowledged the growing difficulties of living with Parkinson’s, saying, “It’s getting tougher.” He also discussed a recent spinal surgery he underwent due to a benign tumor that has impacted his mobility, leading to multiple fractures. He emphasized, “You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s,” and asserted, “I’m not gonna be 80.”
Fox’s journey with Parkinson’s is highlighted in his upcoming documentary, “Still,” where he shares the severe pain and tremors he experiences. Nevertheless, he maintains a hopeful outlook, stating that he’s not “going anywhere.”
