ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent: Simon Cowell ‘Breaks Rules’ for Emotional Act, Leaving Judges Stunned
Simon Cowell was so captivated by Electric Umbrella’s performance on Britain’s Got Talent that he described it as feeling like a scene from a movie. So moved by their act, he hit the Golden Buzzer—despite already having used his earlier in the series.
The band, made up of musicians with learning disabilities, performed an original song about acceptance and understanding, which Simon called “spectacular.” Their heartfelt performance thrilled the audience, and although judges are typically allowed only one Golden Buzzer, Simon decided to bend the rules, sending them straight to the live semi-finals and leaving his fellow judges in shock.
Overjoyed by the unexpected honor, the band members celebrated the moment, with some of the youngsters even gathering golden confetti to take home as a special keepsake.

Saturday night’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent featured a diverse lineup of performers, each hoping to impress the judges.
One standout act, Williams Sanchez, shocked the panel with his unusual eye-popping routine, in which he danced while making his eyes bulge to the beat. Unfortunately for the Italian contestant, his performance didn’t land well, earning him multiple buzzers from the judges.
Meanwhile, viewers noticed that head judge Simon Cowell was absent from the panel, with KSI stepping in as his temporary replacement. Simon skipped the latest round of auditions following the tragic passing of former One Direction star Liam Payne. The show had also briefly paused auditions in the wake of the singer’s death.
